Leyden MA Open House Schedule - View Sunday‘s Schedule

Leyden is a small town of less than 1,000 people in Franklin County. Leyden, part of the Springfield metropolitan area, was first settled in 1737 and it was home to many small industries for over a century. Today, it's biggest industry is the production of maple sugar. Leyden is located on the eastern edge of the Berkshires along the Green River valley. The town has many forested brooks as well as a state park. It's one of the few towns in the state of Massachusetts without any state routes.

Given the small size of this bedroom community, most homes in Leyden were constructed prior to the 1980s. The town boasts many farmhouses and cottages with sprawling lands and pastures, as well as secluded cabins in the forest. There are many styles of architecture found in Leyden, including the popular Cape Cod style, ranch-style homes, and Dutch Gambrel homes. Many homes in Leyden are in secluded areas with vast amounts of private forested land. There are very few condominiums or townhouses in the town.
